The dashboard and the sidebar
Find your way around: groups, favorites, collapsing, pinning and the auto-hiding sidebar.
The dashboard
Managers and administrators see the Executive Dashboard: execution, attendance, sales and follow-ups for any date range, compared with the previous period. A 0 to 100 Business Pulse score shows how it is calculated, and missing data is shown as "no data", never as zero. An Action Center lists what needs a decision today. Revenue targets can be set for the company or a person, and figures can be exported as CSV.
Employees see My Workspace, a personal view of their own work instead of company figures.
The sidebar
Pages are grouped by purpose, for example Work & Productivity, People & HR or DevOps & Security. A group only appears if you can use at least one page in it.
- Open or close a group with its heading. The group holding the page you are on always stays open, so you can see where you are.
- Favorites: point at a page and click the star to add it to Favorites at the top; click the star again to remove it. On a touch screen the stars are always visible. You can keep up to 12 favorites. If you lose access to a page, it disappears from your favorites.
- Collapse: shrink the sidebar to icons with the collapse button. Hover or focus an icon to see its name.
- Pin and unpin: a pinned sidebar stays in place. Unpin it and it hides to give the page more room; move the pointer to the left edge, or use the small tab at the edge, to bring it back. It closes a moment after the pointer leaves, and Escape closes it.
- Keyboard: every control can be reached with Tab. Group headings announce whether they are expanded.
- Phones and tablets: the sidebar is a drawer opened from the menu button in the header.
Your choices are saved to your account, so they follow you to other browsers.
Documentation
Documentation in the sidebar opens these guides. Signed-in people also see guides written for their role.
Global search
Use the search box in the header, or press Ctrl+K (⌘K on Mac), and type at least two characters. Results are grouped: tasks, projects, CRM leads, contacts, companies and opportunities, files and folders, and people. Use the arrow keys and Enter, or click, to open a result.
The server decides what you can find, using the same rules as each module: you only see tasks assigned to you (managers and admins see all), projects you belong to, CRM records within your CRM role's visibility, and Drive items you own or may view. Modules you cannot use are not searched. Only names and titles are matched, so searching an email address or phone number finds nothing, and results never show email addresses, phone numbers or deal values.
Light, dark and themes
Use the sun or moon button in the header to switch between light and dark. Colours, density and corner radius are set in Settings, Appearance & theme (see Configuration and administration).
